ICON Park Joins Shake Shack to Celebrate National Burger Day on May 28

National Burger Day is May 28, 2022. To celebrate this delicious day, ICON Park and Shake Shack are proud to offer guests a tasty new treat.

In honor of National Burger Day, ICON Park encourages all visitors to stop by the park’s popular burger joint for a new Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger.

The Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger consists of a thick all-Angus patty, made even richer with several toppings. Cheddar adds flavor, while crispy shallots add texture. The real draw is the relatively new bourbon bacon jam that’s added on top.

The jam is made with Maker’s Mark bourbon. The jam’s flavor profile has been described as “sweet and savory with the addition of applewood smoked bacon, honey, raisins, and jalapeños, offering woodsy, smoky flavors with some heat and texture,” by Mark Rosati, Shake Shack’s culinary director.

For those who prefer, a Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich is available.

The Wheel Is an ICON Park Star

Once guests have filled up on a delicious burger and shake, riding The Wheel at ICON Park must be on the agenda.

The Wheel is a 400-foot-tall observation Ferris wheel that affords views of the surrounding Greater Orlando area. From the upper portion, you’ll see views of downtown Orlando, surrounding lakes, and the theme parks in between. You’ll also likely be able to spot Shake Shack and other attractions at the outdoor complex.

When you take a ride on The Wheel, you’ll have about 20 minutes to look around. The entire ride goes slowly enough to not upset tummies or invoke anxiety in less-adventurous riders, yet it keeps moving along so there are regularly new sights to view. You’ll spend the entire time in an air-conditioned cabin, which is apt to be more comfortable than outdoor benches on hot Florida days.

With so much going for it, The Wheel is one of the most beloved attractions at ICON Park, especially when celebrated alongside America’s favorite sandwich.

 Other Popular Attractions

While they might not be as tall, several other attractions are also widely adored by visitors. At the park, you can:

— View figures of famous people at Madame Tussauds Orlando’s wax museum

— Learn about marine life at Sea Life Orlando Aquarium

— Have your mind pleasantly confused at the Museum of Illusions

— View a movie in multiple ways at the 7D Motion Theater

These are all within easy walking distance, so it’s not taxing to do several or even all of them in a day. Plan to spend a while at the park if you want to do everything, as you can spend a reasonable amount of time at many of these.

Whichever attraction interests your party the most, discounts are available for The Wheel and other draws, making a fun National Burger Day that much better.

Numerous Shops, Bars, and Restaurants

As you wander around the park, you’ll pass plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants. Stop at whatever interests you or someone in your party, and be prepared to check out several. Numerous establishments offer a wide variety of goods, drinks, and foods to try.

Easily Accessible on International Drive

If you’ve never been to ICON Park in Orlando before, you’ll find the outdoor area easily accessible along International Drive. Follow the signs or drive toward the giant observation wheel.

There’s plenty of free parking and everything is close enough that you don’t have to worry about where to park. You won’t have any issues finding a nearby restroom while visiting, which families with young children will appreciate.
