Amazon sells the Mint Mobile starter kits, as well as plans. You can get the starter kit on Amazon Prime for $5.00. It has a 4-star rating with 1,224 ratings. The kit on Amazon has a description in bullet points down beside the pictures. 

  • The kit is easy and worry free. It is a way to try out Mint Mobile before committing to one of the longer plans. 
  • For $5 you get two SIM cards. You can download the free Mint Mobile app to get the first SIM activated and test Mint where you live. 
  • The trial SIM card has 100 text messages, 100 minutes of talk, and 100MB of 4G LTE data. The SIM will be available for seven days after activation. 
  • The second SIM comes into play when you decide you want to stay with Mint. This second SIM is used to start your plan. You can use this SIM to transfer your current phone number or stick with the new one that was given with the first SIM card. 
  • If you decide you want to stick with Mint Mobile, they will credit the $5 for the kit back to your account, so you’ll get your plan for $5 off.

Tech support ranked in at 3.6 out of 5 stars, which is surprising because Mint Mobile seems to pride themselves on their real team of customer service agents. 

Also, on Amazon is the $15 a month Mint Mobile wireless plan. This is $45 and includes 3 months of unlimited talk and text, with 3GB of 4G LTE data a month. You can use this kit with your current phone (as long as it’s compatible) or you can buy a new one. 

You can buy a 3-month Mint mobile service plan with unlimited talk and text with 8GB of 4G LTE data each month for $58.95. All kits come with a SIM card that is a 3 in 1 size: micro, Nano, and standard. This means that it is universal to fit almost any phone. 

You can buy 3 months of unlimited talk and text with 12GB of data each month for $55.95. Amazon also offers all three plans (3 months with 3GB of data, 3 months with 8GB of data, and 3 months of 12GB of data) for $159.90.
