CBD Oil, also known as Cannabidiol is a natural remedy for common illnesses in states that have legalized medical Marijuana. CBD is usually made from industrial hemp and contains less than 0.3% of THC which is the Cannabis compound that makes you high; therefore, unlike the other Cannabinoids, this does not produce a psychoactive effect.

CBD oil is currently being used to treat a range of health problems such as stress, anxiety, arthritis and chronic pain, epilepsy, depression and so on. There has been one major study with a lot of scientific evidence backing it that CBD Oil can be used to treat epilepsy in Children. A US Food and Administration advisory panel also unanimously recommended the approval of the CBD medication “Epidiolex” which can be used to treat two rare forms of epilepsy in children.

The drug is produced by the GW Pharmaceutical Company and was tested in three separate clinical trials that included 516 patients. For now, there have been a lot of studies that have been aimed at children with clinical trials for adults to be undertaken in the future.

Medical Marijuana has been used as a pain reliever for a long time in human history. Many scientists have discovered that there are certain components of Marijuana that are responsible for pain-relieving effects.

One study done showed that CBD injected into rats reduced their pain response to incisions made surgically, and one particular human study has shown that a combination of CBD and THC is more effective in relieving pain than CBD alone. While CBD can be taken orally some doctors recommend consuming a non-oral form using either a vaporizer or a glass bong since the pain relief is faster when it enters the bloodstream this way.

One of the studies done showed that if a CBD infused gel was applied topically onto rats for four days, there was a significant drop in inflammation and signs of pain among the rats.

Studies have shown that CBD may help to reduce symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and pain that are related to cancer. One particular study had 170 people participating in it. All had cancer-related pain and did not feel any pain relief from medication. In the study, those who were treated with both CBD and THC together significant less pain when compared to just being administered with THC.

More tests were also done in terms of reducing chemotherapy-induced pain which was shown to be better than just using standard medication.

There were even some test tube studies that have shown that CBD may have some anti-cancer properties, as one test found that concentrated CBD induced breast cancer cell death in humans.

However, more and more studies are currently ongoing to prove that CBD is safe and powerful enough to be used to treat all these ailments. There is also a much higher chance that new uses will be found in the future as more people are getting involved in these studies.
